Student competition! For UG and VSU history students!

Attention: history students at UG and VSU!

  • Did you produce a good research paper?
  • Was your focus Poland and America?
  • Would you like to compete for a 500 USD award?

We announce STUDENT COMPETITION!!!

FOR THE BEST PAPER DEALING WITH  BILATERAL RELATIONS BETWEEN THE UNITED STATES AND POLAND

Who is eligible: This call is addressed to students of history at UG and VSU.

Paper focus: Students (BA, MA, PhD) are encouraged to submit a paper on any aspect of American-Polish, or Polish-American relations. Political, economic, social and cultural history is within the scope of interest of the organizers. There is no preference as to any particular historical period. The paper must be original, source-based, and AI-free.

Other requirements: While the use of primary sources is not obligatory, papers emerging from original research stand a better chance of winning. The text should be written in English and must have academic references (footnotes).

Paper length: The submission should be between 15 and 20 pages long (12 Times New Roman, 1.5 spaced).

Number of winning papers: There will only be one winner from either UG, or the VSU – subject to selection by the Award Committee established for this purpose.

The Award: The award includes: the prize of 500 USD sponsored by the Double Eagle Fund (VSU), and an invitation to publish in the student academic journal: “Argumenta Historica” (UG) – subject to editorial review.
