UGHH#02 - 2nd Unconference on Games with History and Heritage
UGHH#02 is coming! 21–23 February 2026 | Faculty of History, University of Gdańsk, Poland
We’re happy to announce the second edition of UGHH – the Unconference on Games with History and Heritage, hosted by the Center for Historical Games and Heritage (C-HIGHER).
This year’s theme: “Uses and Abuses of History in Games”
How do we approach historical content in games? What works, what doesn’t, and what can others learn from our successes and failures?
UGHH is a participant-driven event that brings together scholars, educators, game developers, curators, and players to share, experiment, and co-create. Expect collaborative workshops, play sessions, project showcases, and plenty of informal networking.
Sign-ups open on 31 October 2025
More info at Center for Historical Games and Heritage website.
Meanwhile, we're building a list of themes and activities offered by our partners. UGHH is informal and participatory - and so are our partnerships. All it takes for an organisation is sending someone to lead a partner-powered programme item for other participants. Contact us if you're game!
